Home Visa Tier 4
VISA | TIER 4
Tier-4 replaces the old student visa for the United Kingdom. With its introduction, all candidates are considered in the same way and must attain a minimum of 40 points.
Visa Letter (30 points)
The Visa Letter is evidence of a student’s registration on an approved course at a recognised institution. The letter must detail the student’s competence in the English language. Please note that not all courses at all institutions are approved by the UK Border Agency.
Financial resources (10 points)
Applicants for Tier-4 visas have to prove that they have adequate financial means to cover the costs of their stay whilst in the United Kingdom, without the necessity of having to work or appeal to third parties.
The UK Border Agency considers £800 pounds sterling per month as necessary for anyone who intends to study in London and £600 pounds sterling per month for anyone studying outside London. Students whose courses last for more than nine months must show that they have sufficient financial resources to cover twelve months. This sum must be available in their bank account within the previous 30 days prior to any application.
