Children's Aid does charity work for children and teenagers from poor Brazilian communities. The main objective is to generate opportunities through education, sports and citzienship.

The work started in UK back in 2000 with a campaign to create a conscience and to raise funds for children and teenagers involved in risky situations in Mozambique, Africa.

That project was the starting point for actions aimed at Brazilian children in Brazil. We started promoting fund raising events which generated at short term book donations, school materials, as well as toys for needy children in Brazil. We always aimed at creating a link and information exchange among those needy communties.

We wish to grow progressively, moving from short term actions onto medium and long term ones, where we are at the moment.

We have established great partnerships along these last years. Many results can be observed and many more are yet to happen.

We envision a strong pedagogical basis which will generate cultural exchange between Brazilian children and children from other places and to create “the opportunity factory” called “the dream village”.
The project is being developed under the supervison of business people,
achitects, sociologists and pedagogues so that it can be a national reference and an oasis of hope in the middle of all the needy communities of our country.

We work with different methodologies and strategies, accoding to the location and the partnerships established (businesses, government, ONG’s and communities.

Check out the web page on partnerships: Fluminense, Avicres, Bola Pra Frente and Salesianos.

We also count on a strong channel of communication between Brazil and UK Onda Solidaria, as well as in other countries such as France, Spain and Germany where we have volunteer groups which promote our popular and cultural events in Brazil.
